This might seem to be somewhat a standard nowadays for connecting designers, developers and themers. But actually standard grids can be a trouble for many, many projects. Especially if you plan to monetize the site with some standard IAB ad slots.
If you developers don't see the lingo, it's your session as anyway you are the core. Let's make Drupal development a jolly land when everybody understand each other at least on XHTML level.
